Obituary for Marvin Everett Hamrick
Marvin Hamrick, Sr., 50, of Spotsylvania County passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019.
Marvin served in the US Navy for six years. He was a huge Civil War buff, a class A Journeyman Electrician, a member of IBEW Local 26 for more than 20 years, and a NASCAR fan. Marvin coached and was actively involved with his children’s sports teams; and he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Marvin is survived by three children, Marvin Hamrick, Jr., Katlyn Hamrick, and Madison Hamrick; his children’s mother, Dawn McKinney; and his parents, Clyde and Joyce Hamrick, all of Spotsylvania; two brothers, Clyde Stafford Hamrick II (Amanda) of Orange County, and Ronald Chewning (Theresa) of King George County; two sisters, Sherril Snyder (Robert) of King George, and DeAnna Hill of Virginia Beach; his fiancee, Bridgette Thurston of Spotsylvania; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeremey Hamrick.
Marvin’s family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2019 in Craig’s Baptist Church Cemetery, 14123 West Catharpin Road, Spotsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, Marvin’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
Condolences may be expressed to Marvin’s family at foundandsons.com. |
